In compliance with professional standards established by the Oath of Office, Professional Code of Ethics, and directives of this Department, each of its members is to perform in such a manner that promotes the publics’ trust, confidence, and sense of safety and security.

The officers of the Oakwood Village Police Department (OVPD) are sworn to provide the community with a superior level of service in respect and integrity, while always conducting ourselves with the highest ethical principles.

We have a great deal of pride in our department and are respectful of the trust our community places in us. The OVPD is staffed 24 hours a day with services of public safety, crime prevention, accident and crime investigation, and participation in community events such as school and civic programs.

Our department strives to go above and beyond the call of duty to making the Village of Oakwood a safe and enjoyable place to live or visit.
